Farewell and good luck to Kevin Wandel

After over 14 years with Custom Fluidpower and close to forty years company service with the various iterations of the business, we are sad to farewell Kevin Wandel as he retires. 

Branch Manager at the Singleton branch of Custom Fluidpower, Kevin originally went to Singleton to kick off CCI Engineering’s satellite branch in 1998 on the provision it was only for five years. Operating out of a shipping container behind ADM Transport, Kevin built the business from scratch. In 2002 the business moved into the current location on Magpie Street in Singleton after successfully purchasing the premise from Sally Garland of Garland Engineering.  

Over the years Kevin saw many competitors come and go, however he continued to grow the business from strength to strength and became the go to industry expert in the Hunter Valley region. In 2004 CCI Engineering became Fluidtech International to then be acquired by Custom Fluidpower in 2008. 

Kevin and his wife Karen are set to take off on a travelling retirement and many of Custom Fluidpower’s branch managers around the country are hoping he will stop in and do a bit of work with them as he goes. We wonder what Karen has to say about that?
