Chopper to Work

Custom Fluidpower’s Singleton field service crew had a treat this week when they had to catch a helicopter to work.

The Namoi River at Boggabri peaked at 8.5 m, cutting the team off from the Coal Handling Preparation Plant at Boggabri Coal where they were commissioned to complete time-sensitive upgrade installation work on the Train Load-out Facility.

The Boggabri floodplain is approximately 5.5 km wide and saw access roads closed to the mine and forced the team to call in a helicopter to get them on site.

Boggabri Coal Mine is an open-cut coal operation that processes its coal through a recently completed coal handling and preparation plant before being transported to the Port of Newcastle for international export
