Road Boss Rally Ready

June 28, 2021 in Company News, Events, Media Release

Custom Fluidpower is a proud sponsor of the ADE Crewman as it heads off in the Road Boss Rally from Roma on July 5 and finishing in Mackay ten days later.

Clive Gray from Australian Diversified Engineering and his son Matthew are participating in the rally designed to raise money for GIVIT, a national not-for-profit, connecting those who have with those who need, in a private and safe way.

When it all kicks off, the drivers head out to test their adventure, stamina and driving skills in some the remotest places in Australia. The rally covers hundreds of kilometres each day and stops off in towns and communities, joining the locals for fun and fundraising events along the way. It’s also an opportunity for GIVIT to provide donations to give relief to communities severely affected by on-going conditions whether that be drought, fire or flood. Previous donations have included school uniforms, fuel vouchers to assist access to hospital treatment, toiletries for women in sheltered accommodation, and even windsocks to aid light aircraft landings in medical emergencies.

‘I particularly like this event because it is well run, and the donations go to GIVIT which has a transparent model that ensures all donated money goes to those in need and corporate support pays for the administration side of things.

‘The real winners are the people who GIVIT look after and this is ultimately why we do it, but we would not be able to do this without the generous support of Custom Fluid Power and our other sponsors.

‘I am very pleased to say that team ADE Crewmen, will donate a total of $30,075.00 this year,’ said Clive.

On top of the welcome donations, there’s a great atmosphere when the Rally comes to town, with lots of opportunities to join in the fun, much of it arranged by the locals. Struggling businesses also get a significant financial boost from accommodation, food and fuel sales, with the fundraising activities of local community groups also benefiting from the arrival of the 200 plus drivers and crew.
